Remote CNC Troubleshooting
and Connectivity Support

Some Diagnosis Can Start Before a Technician Travels

Modern CNC controls and drives report alarms, parameters, and communication status. When secure access is available, Founders CNC uses remote support to review that information, narrow the likely cause, and define what the machine needs.

Remote work does not replace hands-on service. Mechanical damage, failed hardware, alignment, and geometry problems require onsite work. Remote review helps us arrive prepared for the machine and the symptoms you reported.

What Remote Support Can Cover

  • Alarm and parameter review on HEIDENHAIN, Siemens, FANUC, and Mitsubishi controls
  • Control, drive, communications, and software fault evaluation
  • CNC drive diagnostics and axis-performance review
  • PROFIBUS and DRIVE-CLiQ communication troubleshooting
  • Machine-network connectivity support
  • OPC UA NC Server support on HEIDENHAIN controls
  • Review of photos, videos, and alarm screens you send
  • Scoping onsite work before a technician travels

How a Remote Session Works

  1. Tell us what the machine is doing

Send the machine make, model, serial number, control type, alarm numbers, and a description of what happened before the problem appeared.

  2. We confirm safe access

We confirm whether a secure connection is available and whether remote work is appropriate for the machine and your operation. Remote work happens only when safe access is available.

  3. We review the machine data

Our technician reviews alarms, parameters, drive status, and network communication to narrow the likely cause.

  4. We recommend the right service

We can evaluate or correct some faults through remote access. Others require onsite service, and the remote review helps define that visit.

When Does a Machine Need Onsite Service?

Physical damage, alignment, geometry, and failed components require a technician at the machine. When the evidence points there, the request moves to our emergency CNC repair process or a scheduled visit. Any dispatched diagnostic or service visit carries a four-hour labor minimum plus travel.

Why Machine Networks Make Remote Support Possible

Industrial networks carry status and diagnostic information between a control and the devices connected to it. According to PI North America, the trade organization behind the standard, PROFIBUS supports better diagnostics than the analog wiring it replaced.

Founders CNC uses PROFIBUS diagnostic equipment and DRIVE-CLiQ troubleshooting onsite. Remote review builds on the same information when a secure connection allows it. Geometry and positioning problems call for machine tool calibration at the machine.

Frequently Asked Questions About Remote Support

Can you fix my machine remotely?

Sometimes. Remote access can shorten diagnosis for certain control, drive, communications, and software faults. Physical damage, alignment, geometry, and failed components require onsite work. When a remote review cannot resolve the problem, it helps our technicians prepare for the onsite visit.

What do I need before a remote session?

We confirm what access your control and network allow before a session begins. Have the machine make, model, serial number, control type, and alarm numbers ready. Photos or short videos of the alarm screen and the machine condition help our technician prepare.

Which controls can you connect to?

We work with HEIDENHAIN, Siemens, FANUC, and Mitsubishi controls. Connection options depend on the control, its generation, and your network. On HEIDENHAIN controls, machine connectivity work can include OPC UA NC Server support. Send the control make and model with your request.

Is remote support available outside business hours?

We handle routine inquiries during normal business hours. Urgent requests depend on technician availability, and we may attempt initial phone assistance when practical. Send the machine information and alarm numbers with your request so our team can evaluate the situation and plan a response.

What warranty applies?

Founders CNC provides a 30-day labor warranty. New and refurbished parts carry the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty. The estimate you approve before work starts defines the labor and parts that coverage applies to, so the terms are clear from the beginning.

Start With the Machine Information

Founders CNC serves customers throughout the United States and Mexico and can travel beyond those areas by arrangement. Call 281-923-4886 or email service@founderscnc.com with the machine make, model, control, and alarm information. A preventive maintenance program can catch developing drive and communication problems during planned service.
