Repair the Whole Machine, Not Just the Symptom
Founders CNC provides CNC machine repair across mechanical, electrical, control, and geometry work. A machine problem rarely stays in one discipline. A worn component can create an electrical fault, and a control alarm can point back to a mechanical cause. Our team follows the problem to its source.
Since October 2015, Founders CNC has completed approximately 3,200 service jobs. The goal on every repair is the same: identify the cause, complete the repair, and verify the machine is ready to return to production.

CNC Machine Repair Capabilities
- Mechanical repair, rebuild, and alignment
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair
- HEIDENHAIN, Siemens, FANUC, and Mitsubishi control repair
- CNC drive diagnostics and motor evaluation
- Spindle, axis, and automatic tool-changer alignment

- Geometry verification with test bars, indicators, and Renishaw ballbar measurement
How CNC Machine Repair Works
Tell us what the machine is doing
Send the machine make, model, serial number, control type, alarm information, and a description of what happened before the problem appeared. Photos or short videos can help us prepare.
Assess and define the work
A scheduled estimating visit may be provided at no charge when agreed in advance. Any dispatched diagnostic or service visit carries a four-hour labor minimum plus travel.
Approve the estimate
We provide an estimate for the recommended work and identify required parts when they can be determined in advance. Andy Moore remains involved in reviewing and scoping quoted repairs.
Repair, measure, and verify
Our technicians complete the approved work and verify the result with the measurement and diagnostic equipment appropriate to the machine.
Is This an Emergency or a Planned Repair?
If the machine is down and production has stopped, start with our emergency CNC repair process. Planned CNC machine repair fits machines that run but show wear, drift, noise, intermittent alarms, or declining accuracy. Scheduling the work early gives you more control over downtime.
Restoring the Machine Toward Factory Standards

Many repair requests come from shops working to quality or customer requirements. Restoring machine geometry and function toward the builder’s factory standards addresses the root of most of those concerns. A machine that measures correctly gives your quality team something objective to point to.
After a repair, verification may include test bars, indicators, alignment equipment, laser measurement, or a ballbar test. Renishaw supports ballbar reporting to standards including ISO 230-4 and ANSI/ASME B5.54. The measurement shows whether the repair holds, not only whether the alarm cleared.
Frequently Asked Questions About CNC Machine Repair
What kinds of machines do you repair?
We work on CNC machine tools in any market that runs them, including five-axis and mill-turn equipment. Our team services machines equipped with HEIDENHAIN, Siemens, FANUC, and Mitsubishi controls, along with the mechanical, electrical, drive, and feedback systems around them. Send the make and model, and we will tell you what our team has seen before.
Can you repair a machine you have not serviced before?
Yes. The initial assessment establishes the machine’s configuration, condition, and service history. That visit gives our technicians the information they need to define the repair and identify parts before work begins. Approximately 3,200 completed jobs give our team a broad base of machine experience.
Do you supply parts?
We identify known parts in the estimate when possible. As a HEIDENHAIN dealer, Founders CNC can source eligible HEIDENHAIN components. Availability and lead time depend on the exact part and machine configuration. Intermittent faults or hidden damage can reveal additional parts needs after work begins.
What warranty applies?
Founders CNC provides a 30-day labor warranty. New and refurbished parts carry the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty. The estimate you approve before work starts defines the labor and parts that coverage applies to, so the terms are clear from the beginning.
